The second of Libby and Frank Brady's (USNA '53) six children, Herb's wife Kathy is a native Annapolitan. A 1977 graduate of St. Mary's High School (Delegate Mike Busch was her history teacher), Kathy attended Anne Arundel Community College and Mary Washington College before graduating from Towson University with an Education degree in 1982. A superb collegiate athlete, Kathy played varsity tennis and lacrosse.

Kathy and Herb met during Herb's senior year at the Naval Academy. They were married in Annapolis two years later. After their marriage, Kathy taught in Florida's public schools while Herb completed Navy flight training. Following the birth of their first child, Kathy left teaching to remain at home with their four children.

Kathy has been active in the PTA, Junior League, and competitive USTA tennis. She has coached St. Mary's girls' youth lacrosse, and currently coaches the St. Mary's JV tennis team. She recently joined her mother as a real estate agent with Coldwell Banker in Annapolis.

Katie McMillan, 22, attended West Annapolis Elementary School and is a member of the St. Mary's High School Class of 2001. Following study abroad in London, she graduated from the University of Delaware with a BA in Art History.

Hall McMillan, 20, attended West Annapolis Elementary School and is a 2003 graduate of St. Mary's High School. A standout football player, he won the 2002 P.J. Boyle trophy. A scholarship athlete at Holy Cross College in Worcester, Massachusetts, Hall earned a varsity football letter as a sophomore.

Anna McMillan, 17, attended West Annapolis Elementary School and Bates Middle School. She is entering her senior year at St. Mary's High School, and is a member of the tennis team.

Brady McMillan, 9, attends Naval Academy Primary School. Brady has enjoyed AYLA lacrosse, playing for the Annapolis Soccer Club, and the Annapolis Baseball Club. This year, he made the All-Star team as a catcher. He currently plays football for the PAL Hawks.
